Model Answer:

I have always been fascinated by nomads and when I first learned about them in high school, I tried to read the captivating life of these people who are constantly on the move. A few weeks ago when I was in a public library, I was looking for something to read. Then a book about the journey of the wanderer people in the world’s most remote wildernesses caught my attention and I grabbed it to read about the most magical (some would say the most dangerous) places in the world and the people who live there. I can not recall the writer’s name but the book title was “The life in the most majestic way!”

I spent around 3 hours in this library, a public library in a city where I visited to meet one of my uncles, and I was so engrossed reading the book that I could not leave the library until I had finished reading it.

I love articles and stories about nomads and their interesting ways of life. I often like to read travel journals and blogs to learn about the unseen parts of the world. When I noticed this book, I thought it would be an interesting and good read. To tell you the truth, it was indeed a great book and surpassed my expectation.

I learned about different groups of nomads from Nepal, Mongolia, North America and distant parts of Russia. The writer so skillfully explained how in today’s modern world they’re under increasing pressure and how global warming has impacted their lives. I realised how global threats are encroaching on their traditional way of life and how we (the civilised people) are responsible for that. The extreme weather these people live in, that the writer described, often reminded me how inadequately prepared we are for life in a landscape like this. It was intriguing to imagine how any of us who live in the comfort zone of the modern city would do if he/she is forced to live in a region like this.
