What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We use WordPress to power our website. By default, WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. However, we use Google Analytics that collects some data related to the user’s interaction on our website, but no personal data like name and email address.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We save and publish your comment(s) on our website. Sometimes simple tips provided by a visitor can help a thousand others. You are, however, free to reach us anytime and request for a comment deletion (considering that the comment was written by you). Reach us at info@ielts-gt.com to submit a comment removal.

We moderate comments before publishing and filter out the spam comments.

You need to provide your name and email address to make a comment. Your website URL is optional while making a comment. If you tick mark “Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.” while commenting, your credential for making a comment is saved and you do not need to rewrite your name and email. However, this option is by default un-ticked.

Media

We do not request visitors to upload any media file on our website. However, if you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

Our contact form is located at https://www.ielts-gt.com/contact where we have put our email address and a form that you can use to send us an email. The email you send using this contact form is accessible only by our team and we do not share your email address with anyone else. After we reply to your email, we periodically remove those emails from our server.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use “Google Analytics” as the Analytics and Statistics solution for our website. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google Inc. that tracks and reports website traffic for our website www.ielts-gt.com. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

We do not get your name or email address via our Google Analytics tracking.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

This feature is available to visitors so that they can search for something they are looking for from this website.
