Model Answer:

Dear Mr Brian,

I would like to wish you a warm welcome to our club. I am sure everybody is eagerly waiting to meet you as our newest member.

I believe you already have a good idea about the activities of our club. However, as a custom, I would like to give you an overview. First, we are a club of private members, and we look after them, their family members and close relatives whenever they need help. Apart from that, we do some voluntary and philanthropic work for the benefit of our community and town. Our community works include but are not limited to, planting trees, helping poor and homeless people, and collecting and distributing food and clothes among destitute people.

We are highly pleased to have you with us, and I believe you would enjoy your club membership benefits, privileges and community work with us. You are expected to pay a membership fee of $50 each month and attend fortnightly club meetings. All other tasks are voluntary basis and you can participate in them at your discretion.

Once again, I welcome you to our circle, and I hope that you will feel pleased to be a part of the club.

Yours sincerely,

David Hanson
