Begin your letter as follows:

Dear …………,

Model Answer 1:

Dear Mr Hewson,

I sat next to you on a flight from Dubai to London on December 12th. It was indeed a pleasure meeting you and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I am writing in regard to a discussion we had about a possible vacancy that you have in one of your restaurants.

If you recall, I talked to you about my future plans of immigrating to the UK, and when I shared my past education and work experiences, you suggested that I contact you if I ever wanted to work in a restaurant.

I have worked as a restaurant manager for about 4 years and before that, I was in charge of a cafe in Dubai. I am attaching my resume with this letter and expecting that you would have a look.

Having worked in Dubai, I had the pleasure of working with people of many nationalities and I familiarised myself with their culture and more importantly their food appetite. I believe I will be a valuable asset to your company if you give me an opportunity to work for one of your restaurants in the UK.

Should you have further queries, please contact me at the email address or phone number provided on my CV.

Thank you for taking your time to read my letter. Hope to hear from you soon.

Yours Sincerely,

Fahad Aziz
