You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You know a company in a foreign country is hiring some new employees. Write a letter to the manager of this company based in a foreign country to recommend your family member for a suitable job. In your letter,

• introduce yourself and mention what you do
• describe the role/ job position your family member is interested in
• describe why he or she is suitable for the job

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Andy Roberts, and I am currently involved in selling car insurance to the big car rental companies in my country. The reason why I am writing this letter is to explore a job opportunity for my elder brother who thinks very highly, just as much as I do, of your company.

Now, to tell a little more about the job preference of my elder brother, even though he would be more than happy to work in any position, from an entry-level to the mid, at your company, he would particularly be interested to hold the position of a Product Manager.

My elder brother has already worked in this type of position rather successfully for over 5 years, creating product specifications and eventually developing new products, while working for one of the largest and coolest children’s wear brands in our country. Besides, he also has a new product development professional certification, along with a Master’s degree in Business Management.

So, based on these qualifications, both professional and educational, I think that my elder brother would be able to render a great service to your company.
