Model Answer:

Some like to call them “natural wonders”, but I like to call them “anomalies of nature”. Whatever you choose to call them, they make us drop our jaws in wonder unlike anything else in this world. Of course, I can think of a number of such “natural wonders” here, but I will just pick one for the sake of keeping our topic discussion in the proper context.

The name of this natural wonder is “The Victoria Falls” – one of the most magnificent and awe-inspiring natural beauties of our world – also happens to be the biggest waterfalls on this earth. It has remained this magnificent for millennia, and it will perhaps remain so for millennia more unless Mother Nature intervenes. After all, I don’t think the human would be able to create another waterfall like this even with the best technologies at their disposal today.

Anyway, this natural wonder is situated in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, but the best and complete frontal-view can be captured from the Zimbabwean side of the falls. This majestic waterfall is about 108 metres high at its centre, 1,708 metres in width, and has an average flow rate of 1088 m3/s (38,430 cu ft/s). By the way, I heard about this natural wonder about 20 years ago when I was still a high school student.

Anyway, in my opinion, this is the best natural wonder, I have ever heard, because there is nothing in this world which could beat the magnanimous water sheet of falling water on this earth into a river, cascading with an astounding roaring sound. Besides, Victoria Falls is so forceful that the water-spray, sent up by the plunging water, rises so high up that it could be seen from 50 kilometres away! What an incredible spectacle of the raw power of Mother Nature! This is also the best natural wonder because it is home to Victoria Falls Rainforest, and is the only place on earth where it rains all day and all night because of the water vapour rising from the falls.
