Describe an expensive hobby you can’t pursue daily.
You should say:
- what it is
- why it is an expensive hobby
- why you wish to pursue it daily
and explain what plans you have to continue if more often in the future.

Model Answer:
I don’t really have many hobbies to pursue. In fact, I have mostly been an easy-going, laidback type of guy who can be satisfied with very little. But, when it comes to a hobby of playing video games (by the way, that’s the only a few hobbies I have now), I just never seem to get enough of it, apparently because it is an expensive hobby.
Yes, talking about playing video games, I feel like I am kind of addicted to it, whether I am playing it alone or with my friends and family members. But, then, how long a person possibly can play the same game again and again without getting bored?! Well, I bet the answer is “not too long”. So, the same applies to me because I also get bored of playing the same video game again and again.
So, I try to borrow some video games from my friends. But, they are also like me because their stock of video games is also limited. So, the only option left for me is to go and buy some more new games except, of course, the problem is those video games are quite expensive. In fact, they are sometimes so expensive that I can only think of buying them only once a month. But, that’s certainly not enough because I want to play a new video game each and every day because, as I have already said earlier, I feel like I am addicted to it.
Anyway, since buying a new video game every day is never a viable option, I think that I am going to start to make some video games by learning some computer programming in the near future. I am also planning to buy some old video games, which I haven’t played before, from other people at a cheaper rate. Or it is also possible that I could get some expert help from the video game experts or some of my friends in order to customize the old video games, by adding some new features to them, without costing me too much money.
