Model Answer:

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to talk about such a good topic. After all, we like to hear good news, especially, if the news is related to our loved ones. Today, I would like to talk about one such good news and all the details about it.

Let’s first start with the good news, and the good news was that one of my nephews got a scholarship from one of the top-rated universities in the UK to study chemical engineering.

To be honest, after hearing the news for the first time from my beloved sister-in-law, I couldn’t quite believe it. In fact, I initially thought that she was just joking as she had a rather “unique” habit of cracking jokes to catch a person off guard in a good way, of course. So, I kept asking her if it was really a joke, but she kept telling me that it was for real. However, when she wanted to mail me a copy of the letter from the university, as I was living in another city at that time because of professional reason, it was at that time, I actually believed her.

By the way, I knew that my nephew was a talented student, but he also was interested in many other things like sports, computer games, travelling and singing. So, even though, I knew that he had the ability to surprise us one day with some good news, nobody in my family could quite think that he would be able to get a scholarship from one of the best universities in the world one day.

Anyway, after hearing the news, I became so happy and proud that I even forgot to call him and congratulate him for some time. Of course, I did call him little later to let him know how proud I really was about his achievement. I also promised to him that I would buy him one of the nicest gifts, an uncle could ever present to his beloved nephew, before he leaves for the UK.
