Model Answer:
We live in a country where thousands of poor people struggle really hard just to survive. While the gap between the wealth of rich and poor is staggeringly high, poor children are not getting a proper education. To help such children and even the adults, some volunteers have established a night school in our town a few years ago about which I learned pretty recently when one of my colleges joined as a teacher.
This activity of educating destitute children and adults, who are otherwise busy during the daytime in their petty and manual jobs, is a great activity and people like us can contribute to it to a great extent. After my colleague “Himadree” joined there as a teacher last November, I came to know about this noble initiative and did not hesitate to join as a part-time teacher to support this great cause.
I was not hesitant to join there as a teacher and conduct classes during the weekends because I felt a sense of responsibility towards those who are not only poor but will probably remain so for the rest of their life. The only way they can get away from this trap is through educating their children. Since I studied in a public university and the education cost me almost nothing, I felt a natural obligation towards my country and got enrolled at night school to teach there.
My experience of teaching young kids and some adults at the night school is pretty awesome because some of the young students are talented and I feel a great sense of satisfaction explaining to parents how hard they should try to educate their children. I feel like I am contributing to something utterly important and I am very proud to be a part of this very noble initiative by some individuals.
