Model Answer 1:

Dear Ms Watson,

I am writing this letter to invite you to give a presentation at a forthcoming seminar on “How to formulate a cutting-edge customer acquisition and retention policy” that our department is planning to organize after a couple of weeks.

Just to keep you in the loop, our company has been struggling to retain existing customers for quite some time now, and we just thought that it would be great if you could share some of your experiences on how to onboard new customers and keep them with our company in this fiercely competitive market. After all, only a few years ago, you quite successfully had run and managed this very department of ours before taking charge of the production and distribution department of our company.

In fact, the data during that period of time shows that the rate of customer retention was at its highest in the 20 years history of our company.

The seminar is scheduled for the 25th of March, and it is expected to continue from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. So, please squeeze a little time out of your busy schedule to deliver a presentation at our seminar.

Many thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Jim Falon
