Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Model Answer:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my interest to get enrolled in Public Healthcare course that your college offers. I am hoping to finish this course from your prestigious college so that I can both learn and apply the knowledge in the real world.

Having heard so much about your college, and the courses taught there, I have finally decided to apply for a post-graduate diploma course in Public Healthcare. I am very much aware of the fact that it is not going to be easy to secure a place at your college, especially in a course like Public Healthcare which attracts thousands of applications from all over the world.

However, I am pretty confident that I have the required qualifications and credentials to succeed. I have a Masters degree in Public Health with a GPA of 3.9 (on a scale of 4) and an overall IELTS band score of 8.5. And if this is not enough, having a work experience of over 3 years as a Junior Healthcare Administrator at one of the most reputed hospitals in my country will certainly provide me with a little edge over other students in securing admission at your prestigious college, I hope.

Thanking you for your time and kind consideration in advance.

Yours faithfully,

Carl Desmond
