Model Answer:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to complain about a disappointing service from your bank. Two weeks ago, on 24th June, I went to your Archbishop Road branch and applied for a new chequebook. My requisition was to send the chequebook to my home address.

I was notified that I would get the chequebook within a week. Two weeks have already passed since then, but I have not got received it yet. I gave a call to your branch yesterday, and they seemed to have no idea about it. This is an example of poor service and very disappointing. I need to pay my rent to my landlord and clear some other important bills, and to make these payments, I urgently need the chequebook. I would like you to look into the matter and inform me when I can expect to receive it.

I would also like to know what actions, you are going to take about it. I am a customer of your branch for the last 14 years, and I have never received such poor service before.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Emily Jones
