Model Answer 1:

Dear Mark,

Hope you haven’t forgotten me! I’m so sorry for getting in touch with you after a very long time. Anyway, I know, this news is going to surprise you, given how you have known me all these years to have disliked living in busy cities, but I’m now planning to move to your busy city in the next few weeks, and I would very much like you to help me find suitable accommodation nearby your place in Edmonton Suburb.

The place I’m looking for doesn’t have to be a fancy one or anything of that sort as long as it’s a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, and it is not located by any major and noisy streets. It’d be even better if that place is located nearby a natural park which remains accessible all the time. Finally, I’d also prefer my apartment or place to have its own laundry facilities.

Now, could you please help me find a suitable place for me in the next few weeks since you have been living in that area for quite a few years? I’d be grateful to you.

Warm wishes,

Kyle

Model Answer 2:

Dear Aaron,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I’m writing to share some exciting news with you — I’ll be moving to your city for a new job opportunity. As someone familiar with the area, I’m reaching out to seek your assistance in finding suitable accommodation.

After conducting some research, I’ve developed a preference for residing in the downtown area. Its vibrant atmosphere, proximity to amenities, and convenient access to public transportation make it an ideal location for my needs.

In terms of the type of place I’m looking for, I’d prefer a furnished apartment or studio within a reasonable commuting distance from my workplace. As I’ll be new to the city, it’d be beneficial to have a comfortable living space that allows me to settle in quickly. Additionally, a safe and quiet neighbourhood would be preferable, ensuring a peaceful living environment.

Given your familiarity with the city and your network of contacts, I’d greatly appreciate any assistance or recommendations you can provide in finding suitable accommodation that meets my criteria.

Thank you in advance for your support, Aaron. Take care, and I hope to see you soon.

Warm regards,

Boris
