Model Answer:

It is argued by many that pupils these days can obtain information online, there is, thus, no need for libraries. I completely disagree with this opinion and believe that easy access to online information cannot replace libraries because they create an ambience for reading, librarians provide authentic reading materials, and help explore interest in a particular subject.

The environment inside a library is different from the other parts of the school, and many students, in the beginning, find it boring. But once they commence reading books to meet their requirement, they eventually get interested in libraries. Silence inside the library is conducive to studying peacefully. In fact, maintaining the silence creates a reading atmosphere, this, in turn, influences pupils to read a book by watching fellow pupils. Many students, for instance, claim that they can properly concentrate on reading when they are in a quiet place like their school library.

Librarians also help students sort the authentic information from the fake. While a plethora of accurate, engaging, and helpful content is available online, misleading and inaccurate information is crammed into the web. In this case, librarians help obtain accurate, objective, and engaging information that meets the requirements of a particular student. Moreover, libraries help students discover their particular interests. A student, for example, might have an interest in zoology but never think about it. Once the pupil begins reading any book pertaining to zoology, the particular subject might kindle interest in him or her.

In conclusion, I believe that online sources of information never be an adequate substitute for libraries because they create a conducive reading environment, provide readers with credible materials, and help spark passionate interest in a particular subject.
