Model Answer:

Trying new things is an attitude that some people value while others prefer the comfort of the familiar. This essay will explore both perspectives and provide reasons for each viewpoint. In my opinion, both perspectives have their merits and challenges, but I prefer to take challenges and try new things.

On the one hand, trying new things can be a thrilling experience that can help expand one’s horizons. For example, travelling to new places and exploring different cultures can be a valuable way to broaden one’s understanding of the world. Similarly, trying new types of food can be a way to experience new tastes and culinary traditions. Furthermore, trying new things can lead to personal growth and development as it can challenge individuals to step outside of their comfort zone and try new activities that they might not have considered before.

On the other hand, some people prefer to stick with familiar experiences that they know and trust. For instance, having the same hobby year after year can be a comforting and relaxing way to unwind. Similarly, eating familiar foods can provide a sense of comfort. Furthermore, some people may feel that trying new things carries too much risk, whether it be physical, financial, or emotional.

In my opinion, both attitudes have their merits and are ultimately dependent on personal preference and circumstance. However, personally, I prefer to try new things, take on new challenges and adventures, and believe that trying new things can not only bring new opportunities in our lives but also help us to lead a meaningful life.

In conclusion, exploring new opportunities and breaking the habit can be rewarding but also pose risks and challenges. This is why, some are happy with the way they lead their life while others prefer to try new things. Though I believe that both approaches have benefits and potential risks, I am personally a risk taker and like to take challenges as I believe that it makes life worth living.
