Describe something healthy you enjoy doing.

Model Answer:

Thank you for this interesting cue card topic. People do different kinds of activities and several types of exercises to remain fit and healthy. I also have my own healthy thing, that I enjoy doing, in order to keep healthy without overdoing anything.

This healthy thing, I enjoy doing, is to run at least about an hour every day at a park near my house. Now, I am not sure if I would have really taken the time to walk to another park, far from my house, to do my healthy thing, but having the park close to my house has certainly helped my cause.

By the way, I didn’t really feel about running like this to remain healthy (perhaps because I have always been reasonably healthy), but when I saw a few neighbours, who moved to my neighbourhood about a few years ago, running into the park together and having fun, I also decided to give it a go. Initially, of course, I wasn’t running along together with them, but when they invited me to join them, I just couldn’t refuse.

Since then, we haven’t been only running together in the park, but also we have become good friends. Besides, now I have become so much hooked to this running thing that if I somehow miss running for an hour and don’t sweat a little in the morning, I feel like my whole day is ruined. By the way, prior to starting running in the park, I had visited it many times because it is really a nice looking park and many different kinds of people visit it to enjoy the mother nature.

Anyway, I think that running in the park, like this for at least an hour, is healthy because it gives me the additional energy and stamina that are much needed to be productive at my work. Besides, the practice also brings me close to the mother nature which is not only good for my physical health but also for my mental fitness.
