You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You are organising a trip to the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales for a group of students from Perth in Western Australia.
Write to the manager of Student Hostel Services. In your letter, explain:
- when you want to visit the Snowy Mountains
- how long you will stay
- how many students are in your group and what accommodation you will require
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.

I am a student-trip coordinator at Timber High School, planning to organize a trip to the exotic snowy mountain of New South Wales, and I am writing this letter to seek your help in making this trip a success.
I know that as the manager of a student hostel service, you have to deal with this kind of request on a fairly regular basis, but this particular trip is a bit different and challenging from the other students’ trips in that the group of students, travelling with me, is significantly large.
In fact, we have close to 50 students with us, and we would require at least 12 double bedrooms in one block of your hostel so that I can supervise them all together without any trouble or unfortunate incident. The rooms do not really have to be fully furnished, but all of those rooms must have a fridge in each, apparently because we need to stock a lot of snacks and foods for the overactive teenagers to cool off their constant hunger. By the way, we are planning to stay for a week from the 5th of March to the 12th of March.

Ideally, we would prefer dormitory-style accommodation with separate rooms for male and female students. It would be great if the rooms could have ensuite bathrooms or shared bathrooms nearby. Additionally, access to communal areas such as a kitchen and lounge would be highly appreciated. Could you please let me know if you have availability for our group during the mentioned dates? Also, kindly provide information regarding the cost of accommodation per student and any facilities or services included.
