Model Answer 1:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in order to report an accident, involving your car, which I recently hired from your company in order to have a holiday trip.

I picked up the Honda 4-door sedan from your Anniston downtown branch on the 5th of February and drove it to the city of Delta, the next day. I was driving the car on a major highway. Then, at some point, I needed to slow down to bypass a small construction work from a safe distance. But, for some mysterious reasons, the driver behind me must have miscalculated the speed of my car – a costly miscalculation since he failed to stop his car in time – before hitting my car and damaging it mildly.

I was lucky that no major damage occurred in that accident as I was able to quickly pull my car over to one side of the road and stopped it. A little later, I also called a highway patrol police to report the incident. I guess I have included pretty much everything in this report, but if you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours faithfully,

Terry Ferguson

Model Answer 2:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to provide a detailed report regarding an unfortunate incident that occurred while I was in possession of a car hired from your company. The purpose of this letter is to explain the circumstances surrounding the accident and inform you of the actions taken immediately after.

I rented the car from your company on the 5th of June at your downtown branch in Hampshire. The vehicle, a Ford Sedan with registration number BT1058, was in excellent condition at the time of collection.

On the 10th of June, while driving along the coastal highway near Soana Beach Road, I encountered a sudden downpour that caused slippery road conditions. In an attempt to navigate a sharp turn, the car skidded and collided with the roadside barrier, resulting in minor damage to the front bumper and fender.

Immediately after the accident, I ensured the safety of all passengers and contacted the local authorities to report the incident. I followed the necessary procedures by exchanging details with the other party involved and collecting relevant insurance information. Additionally, I promptly notified your company’s 24/7 customer service hotline and informed them about the accident, providing them with all the pertinent details.

I deeply regret this unfortunate incident and assure you that I will cooperate fully with the insurance claims process to rectify any damages caused. Please let me know of any further actions or information required from my end.

Yours faithfully,

Barry Furguson
