You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You are taking your family to a picnic next week near a beach. You think that one of your close friends might be interested to join you.
Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:
- ask your friend if he/she would be interested to join you
- describe your plan for the picnic
- say why you think he/she would enjoy it
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Phillip,
I haven’t heard from you in a while. Hope all is well at your end. By the way, I am writing to inform you about an exciting opportunity to enjoy a picnic next week at one of the most popular sea beaches and I would like you to join us.
All of my family members would be joining the picnic. Just to let you know, we are planning to enjoy the fish barbeque, riding speed boat, and, of course, enjoying playing beach volleyball. We are planning to stay for about two to three days at a local hotel there, during which period we would also visit one of the biggest shopping malls, and a few famous boutique shops to collect some souvenirs for my close relatives.
Anyway, I really think that you would enjoy joining us in our family picnic because I know how you love doing fish barbeque. Besides, it would also allow you to live close to beautiful nature for a while. Finally, the hotels there are now also offering great deals, so you won’t really have to worry about paying a lot to enjoy your holidays.
