Model Answer:

Dear Sir or Madam,

My friends and I rented one of your properties on Abbott Street last January and I am writing to inform you of some problems that we are having. Moreover, I would like to rent out one of the spare rooms to cut the cost. I am hoping you would help me rent it out to someone and fix the issues with the house.

In relation to the problems with the house, the roof of the kitchen is leaking and it is dangerous. Moreover, the entrance door lock is failing and there is something wrong with the bathroom taps. Apart from this, the geysers stop working now and then and the situation is still the same. I am hoping you would hire professional workers to have this issues fixed immediately.

Apart from that, I would like to seek the landlord’s permission to rent our a spare bedroom in our house to a student who can easily fit into our house. Kindly arrange a meeting with the landlord so that I can talk to him and have the problems sorted out.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Crompton
