You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

You recently had your computer fixed at a local computer store. However, you are not pleased with the service you received.

Write a letter to the store manager. In the letter:

  • describe the situation
  • explain why you are dissatisfied
  • say what you want the manager to do about it

Write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the computer repair service that your store offered me a couple of days ago. I know that it might be an unpleasant issue for you but, sometimes things should be told just as they are.

Please, let me try to describe the situation in brief. A week ago, I took my desktop computer to your store because it was giving me some problems. After checking the computer, your associate technicians told me that they were going to fix the problems the very next day.

But, when I finally got the computer back from your store after 3 days – not the very next day as was promised to me by your technicians – I found out that even though the earlier problems of my computer were fixed, it started to give me some other problems, like CPU overheating and some strange noises during the boot.

So, I guess, it is time for you and your staff to become a bit professional and get my computer fixed as early as you can before I ask you to refund me the service charge which I paid to you earlier.

The technician assured me that the problem would be resolved, and I left my computer with the store for repair. However, upon receiving my computer back, I found that the issue had not been properly resolved. The computer still exhibited the same performance problems, and it was evident that the repair had not been conducted effectively.

I must admit that I am quite dissatisfied with the service I received. Not only did the repair fail to address the initial issue, but I also found the customer service to be lacking in professionalism and attentiveness. I believe that as a customer, I should be able to rely on your store to provide quality services that meet the expected standards.

In light of this experience, I kindly request that you take immediate action to rectify the situation. I would appreciate a thorough review and proper resolution of the hardware issue with my computer. Additionally, I hope that steps can be taken to improve the overall service quality in your store.
