Model Answer:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to apply for the post of “Call Centre Agent” and I am hoping that you would consider my application and allow me to meet you in a formal interview.

Before anything else, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is James Mueller, and I am a 24 years old university graduate and my major was Economics. I live in the same city where your call centre is located. I am pursuing my Master Degree in Economics and looking for a part-time evening job.

As for my skills and experience, I have worked as a computer lab assistant at my university and I had to deal with a great many calls from the students daily. Besides, I also have a great level of patient and communication skills that are very important to properly discharge the responsibilities of a call centre agent. Finally, I have a great typing speed, and I am willing to work in the evening shift.

So, based on my qualification and skills, I am pretty confident that I will be able to render excellent service to your company as well as your valuable customers. So, please consider me for the part-time position, and I will be ready to join your company immediately.

Yours faithfully,

Pat Simmons
